Support for curious and ambitious landscape architecture students

Grant for landscape architecture students

The NHBOS fund aims to support curious and ambitious landscape architecture students in their development. Applications for a grant can be done for a meaningful addition to the regular educational program. Examples include a work visit to a project area outside of the Netherlands, study trip, visiting a conference, organizing a workshop or making a scale model. The content and purpose of the initiative or activity for which a grant is requested is determined by the student.

For whom?

Students of the three Master's programmes in Landscape Architecture in the Netherlands – Wageningen University & Research, Amsterdam Academy of Architecture, MSc track in Landscape Architecture at Delft University of Technology.

When?

An application can be submitted twice a year, before May 15th and before November 15th. The decisions on the grant applications will be made by the NHBOS board in June and December.

Application and assessment criteria

The application consists of a description of the initiative including duration and end date, a budget that clearly shows for which part of the activity financial support is requested, and a portfolio.

The grant application will be assessed on: substantive quality of the project proposal, the expected professional development of the applicant, and the quality of the applicant's work as demonstrated by means of a portfolio.

Conditions and accountability

The amount of the awarded grant is determined by the board of the NHBOS fund. Accommodation costs are not included in the grants. For travel within Europe, the train is strongly encouraged, even if the costs are higher than travelling by plane. The applicant is expected, among other things, to submit a brief report within two months after completion of the activity or project. Only applications uploaded via the ‘Student grant application form’ below will be processed. Before filling in, read the conditions for student grants carefully.
